sokos hotel exceeded my expectations during this stay in saint petersburg. the staff were helpful and knowledgeable, the location was convenient, and the hotel was quiet and safe.

Booked this hotel with a very good rate on this site. The hotel seems to be brand new. The rate did not include the breakfast which cost about EUR20/person at the hotel, so be aware... Apart from that, a very good hotel in a nice location.

Anything you buy at the hotel will be very expensive, even to European standards!

It is not good enough for a 4-star hotel: rooms are too small, the ceiling lamp was skewed, the mini-bar was empty. Somehow the design with the so called Russian elements seems kitsch. Not at all as classy as we would expect.

central conditioning that can't actually provide comfort temperuture during sleep (rather hot) and window won't open (no handle). Too hot blankets for current weather.

We lived in a very quiet room with a good view of Vasilie Island. The hotel is close to the Winnter Palace and the Metro.

The beds are not comfortable. They are too soft.

Great location close to shops and public transport, made it easy to navigate the city. The breakfast was delicious with a good range of options, allowing me to start my day off right. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities for a business trip.

The lack of nearby restaurants meant that I had to venture further away to find good food. the shower head was positioned too low, making it difficult to shower without crouching down.

Hotel staff is very prestative and well prepared. Room condition was excellent. Restaurant has very good food and is very nice. Location is not so bad, 5 minutes from metro or 20 minutes from the main attractions, but the bridges can make you stay awake longer than expected.

It is close to the centre of St Petersburg and has shopping and transport close by.
